Lesson 8 of 8
In this lesson
- Follow an account and ticket checklist
- Review an example without rushing
- Decide what to study next
Prepare before opening an example
Choose one skill to practise and a stopping point. Open the terminal, select Demo Account and check the virtual balance. Choose one instrument and read its market label.
Set the chart to an interval you understand. Check the order’s amount, direction, expiry mode and payout independently. If any setting is unclear, return to its lesson before proceeding.
- Confirm Demo Account and virtual funds.
- Read the instrument and chart interval.
- Check stake, direction, expiry and quoted payout.
Observe without changing the learning goal
You may start by observing prices without placing an order. If you choose to open a demo example, record the order details and let it reach its final status before judging it.
Avoid adding more orders simply because the first result feels slow or a price briefly moves against the direction. The exercise is to understand a complete example, not to turn every price change into an action.
Compare the result with your expectations
Read the recorded entry and closing prices, final status and net result. Recalculate the virtual profit or loss using the stake and quoted payout. Distinguish the returned amount from the net change.
Write down anything you misunderstood. A loss with a correctly understood order can still teach the controls; an unexplained win is not proof that you understood the trade.
Finish with a question you can answer
Review your original learning goal and record what you can now explain. Complete the knowledge check below, then revisit any lesson that remains unclear. Progress here records learning checks, not trading performance or a qualification.
There is no requirement to fund a live account after completing the learning path. You can repeat the demo exercises, take a break or keep observing. Demo balances and results remain virtual.
Your demo exercise
Try this at your own pace
- Use the checklist to prepare one short demo session.
- Review one complete example, or observe without placing an order.
- Write a short explanation of the result and one question for your next session.
Select Demo Account before following any trading exercise.
Put it into words
