Lesson 7 of 8

In this lesson

  • Separate virtual and real balances
  • Understand the limits of simulation
  • Recognise unsupported promises

Demo and live balances serve different purposes

The $10,000 demo balance is virtual and intended for practice. A live balance uses real funds. Demo funds and demo profit cannot be withdrawn or moved into the live balance.

The account selector lets you choose a balance, but switching the selector does not convert virtual funds into real money. A deposit applies to a live balance, not to making your demo results withdrawable.

Practice results have limits

A demo can teach account controls, order timing and result arithmetic. It does not reproduce every feature of a funded trading experience. Market conditions, execution, emotional pressure and applicable contract terms can differ.

A positive practice record is not a guarantee of future live profit. Resetting a virtual balance or repeating an example does not establish that a method will work with real money.

Real stakes can be lost

Short-expiry, fixed-return trades can lose the entire stake. They are not the same as buying and holding an underlying asset. A displayed payout does not guarantee that you will receive it.

Before considering real funds, understand the contract, the provider, the applicable terms and the financial risk. These lessons do not assess whether real trading is suitable for you. Staying on demo is a complete option.

Question promises that practice does not support

Be cautious of claims of guaranteed wins, effortless income or a deposit required to release demo profit. Learning materials and quoted percentages do not prove a provider’s regulatory status or an individual’s future results.

Read the service agreement, payment policy and risk disclosure. Use independent official resources when checking a financial provider. A demo label is not a claim that an offering is approved by a regulator.
